I fell in love the moment I saw this dress. Ordering and shipping was great because I needed it for a semi formal Valentines Day event. The dress was a disaster when I put it on. I wear a 14 and the arms were so tight, then the waist was really big but it fit snug in the hips. It was to late to get another dress and spend more money so I had the dress altered. A few inches added underneath the arm, few inches taken in the waist to get rid of the hanging pouch, and tacked in the chest area so my girls wouldn't be the topic of the night. After all this the dress was perfect and looked more like the model on this site. My husband was in Awe! |

As soon as I saw this dress on the website, I knew I had to have it. It is just so sexy! I typically wear an 18/20 from Lane Bryant so I used their size chart to help me pick the size I needed here. I own two other Kiyonna dresses in size 1X (14/16) because their size chart seems to run a little more generously than LB. Though my other dresses fit fine (maybe a little snug on my generous hips and chest--nothing that Spanx can't help!) this one was too small for me by far. I could hardly get it over my hips, and there was no way I was going to be able to get my arms through the holes, or the back zipped. I'll probably exchange this one or the next size or two up. I just want it to look good! The fabric and lining are very soft, and it feels like a very expensive dress (which it is). It would be perfect for a nice night out, or a special event. Just keep in mind that the cut is really meant to hug your body. It was just that for me, it hugged it a little too closely. |

I rushed the order for the black dress to wear to a party this weekend. I was very disappointed with the fit. I am 5'6" and a true 22/24, so I ordered the 3. I am a D cup and have broad shoulders. The shoulders on the dress and the top are too big, even for me. The sleeves are a little snug, but look okay. Instead of helping to hide my tummy, the big fabric pouch in the front makes me look like I have way more in the stomach area that I actually have. I do love the fabric and the length of the sleeves and the overall length of the dress is good. I really like the back and wished the ruching in the front was sewn in a similar way, then it would be great. I am not sure I want to take the dress to a seamstress and have her "remake" it. I am sad to say it will be a return. I will be wearing my fav black lace 6 year old Kiyonna to the party. |

This dress looks so great on the model, but was all wrong for me in real life. First, for a 2X, the sleeves were way too tight. But worse than that, I couldn't figure out for the life of me how the model managed to make that pouch of material in the waist look as great as it does in the picture. I felt like a kangaroo or something - it was just like a sack that dangled. There with no shape or ability to stay put. Also, I think this dress was cut so low in the bust as to go beyond tasteful, but maybe that is just me. I will say that the material itself is really beautiful and comfortable. I actually ordered both the black and the print and they are both nice. Maybe it will look good on you but, alas, I was disappointed. |

I have been admiring dresses on Kiyonna.com for over a year, but never felt compelled to buy a dress.... Until this one. It looked so good on the model I was like .. I gotta try it out. I'm 5'4, busty and I wear a 24 or 26 depending on the cut in Lane Bryant. When I say I hate buying dresses.. I hate it with a passion. The moment I tried the dress on I felt good about the fit, the stretch to it made it extra comfortable, but most of all I looked Fabulous in it! My son was like mom where are you going? You look pretty! I knew it was a winner. So to any short plus size woman looking for a great dress... this is it! |
